posterous: no blog and Twitter a bit limiting?

I guess most people today now realise how important it is to have a good web presence. That’s fine, but what if you don’t have any web design skills, don’t want to spend a couple of grand and find Twitter, well a bit limiting?

This could be for you. It’s called posterous and it’s the answer to your prayers.

when you havn't got a blog - you've got posterous!

There’s no need to write a lot more about this. Its pretty much self-explanatory. The site’s designed well and easy to use. Go for it!

I thought it was only me who knew about posterous. I am disappointed you did not tell people more about it like the way you can import a blog into it and the SMS facility etc.

All these features make it a really powerful platform. It is a bIt unfair to compare it to Twitter on that basis. Best, DC.

Hey, Danny. Thanks for your comment. I’d only just come across posterous last week, but what impressed me was the clarity of the site’s message.

That’s why I chose not to write a long piece about it, preferring to simply let people check the site out for themselves. Its not often I do that, but the site is so clever yet simple, to have written a long piece would have defeated the purpose, I felt!

The Twitter reference was merely to point out the only other zero-footprint web presence – excluding Facebook – that people currently have.

Stay tuned, such short pieces are a rarity from me, I assure you!
It sure wasn’t intended to be a comparison. Perhaps I should have made that more clear.
